Causes of alcoholism: wake up before it’s too late

The causes of alcoholism cannot be defined in one word or expressed with a single reason. Some studies say it is situational, while others say it is a habit acquired from friends or family or due to social and environmental factors. It is often interpreted as hereditary. As in a high society, to maintain status you need to drink and that continues and it becomes a habit. A person who has family problems and feels the lack of moral support consumes alcohol. An individual who continues to drink large amounts of alcohol for a long period of time is called an alcoholic.

Studies show that children who have alcoholic biological parents are also alcoholics. Another case is when the father is an alcoholic, the son tends to continue and becomes an alcoholic. In yet another case, simply by keeping the father company, the son ends up being an alcoholic.

A person under stress starts drinking for mental relief followed by drinking whenever he has a little problem. This is how you become an alcoholic. Many people drink to escape the insult and shame they have to face over a loss. Also, disappointment, insecurity, and job loss lead to alcohol consumption. At home, these people have an excuse to start drinking the moment they have a good chance. Even with friends outside, they will always promise saying the famous phrase “From tomorrow I will not drink”, which is never true.

Alcoholism is like diabetes. It occurs without the knowledge of the person, but both can be cured and kept under control with patience and regular follow-up.

Causes of alcoholism:

Alcoholism is a disease in which the person continues to drink all the time.

Symptoms

  • The first sign of alcoholism is drinking without others knowing.
  • Losing memory when drunk.
  • Loss of control in anything.
  • Irritable mood or loss of patience.
  • Alcohol dependence if something frustrating happens before the eyes.
  • Loss of interest in anything.
  • Liver disease sign.
  • Tingling hands.
  • Loss of appetite like many symptoms, but here they are very common.

Problems people face due to alcoholism

People who consume alcohol spoil their lives and lose respect in their family as well as getting into trouble. Due to the hangover, they are unable to go to the office properly. Because of this, your career and your job are at risk. One more thing that usually happens after drinking too much is that they may have an accident one day only to find themselves paralyzed in bed for the rest of their lives.

Treatment:

First, the person needs to know the causes of alcoholism. Like any other disease, alcoholism can be treated. However, it requires a lot of tolerance. If alcohol users want to be like any other respectful person, they must first stop drinking. Vomiting, poor sleep, and irritability may occur for a few days. Therefore, they must be seen by a doctor who will suggest some sedation. And also important is counseling which, in due course, makes the alcoholic aware of his situation.
