The new 2010 Honda Accord 2.4 and 3.5 liter engines haven’t changed much

Like most years, and due to its excellent reputation, the 2010 Honda Accord is sure to be one of the best selling cars on the market. While the car is best known for its reliability, style, and affordability, the 2010 Accord has three different engine options to choose from.

The first option to go for when selecting a deal is the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This is found on the LX and LX-P sedans. It makes 177 horsepower and 161 pound-feet of torque. The engines in LX and LX-P models, with automatic transmissions, get excellent fuel economy of 30 mpg city and 21 highway.

For those who want to slightly improve the power under the hood, the EX model sedan comes with a 2.4-liter engine that makes 190 horsepower. It’s available on both EX sedans and coupes and can be either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission. The 190-horsepower engine has similar fuel economy to the LX model’s engine.

The 2010 Honda Accord EX can also come with an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 271 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. The V6 can come in a six-speed manual transmission, it can come in coupes, but from sedans or automatic transmissions, the engine has to be a five-speed. Fuel economy inside V6-powered Accords is worse than 4-liters, but much better than comparable cars.

To say the least, the engines in the 2010 Honda Accord are almost identical to those in the 2009 Accord.
