Bleeding Disorder Awareness and Ways to Support It

Each year, the month of March is celebrated as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month. The purpose of the month is to make people aware of the seriousness of the condition and to raise awareness about it.

What is a bleeding disorder?

The condition that includes a wide range of medical problems that result in improper blood clotting and abnormal bleeding is called a bleeding disorder. Hemophilia, von Willebrand disease are the types that lead to continued bleeding after injury, surgery, or physical trauma. In some situations, this condition is life-threatening and must be treated immediately.

What are the symptoms?

Symptoms may vary depending on the stage of the disease. Some symptoms and signs are listed below:

Joint bleeding with pain and hardness.

Unusual bleeding after common procedures like dental work or any other injection
