Important Factors to Consider Before Buying Laptops
Before talking about computer repairs, there are a few important things to consider before buying a computer / laptop, especially if you are a student.
Memory:
There are many types of memories on a computer, but two of them are the most important. These are RAM and storage device.
RAM (random access memory):
RAM is used to load programs onto the computer. It contains the data and the current program in use. RAM is an essential requirement for the main memory of a computer system. Therefore, always choose a laptop with good RAM. Don’t save your cost here. A 4GB RAM is sufficient.
HDD:
The hard drive is the main storage for your computer. This is the place where all the applications are installed, and you can also add more software and programs of your choice here. If its use is simple, such as using it to surf the web, send emails, MS office applications, then you can buy a laptop with a small capacity hard disk that will meet your needs and also save you cost. On the other hand, if you want to use it for music, videos, and games, then prefer a large hard drive if your pocket allows it. It is advisable to have at least a 100GB hard drive.
Processor speed:
Today, technology advances much faster. The latest laptops have high-speed processors, but this feature again depends on their use. A formal use can save a lot of money here, but for movies and the like, you need to get one with good processing speed. The use of a 2 GHz processor is recommended and this should be the minimum selection level.
