Naruto Xxtentacion Anime Review

Xxtentacion

The premise of the anime XXXTentacion Anime is a little slice of life story about two high school youths, Yuichiro and Kazuma, who witness a crime on the streets. As they witness the murder of a mugger, they get the chance to learn more about the criminal and why he committed the crime. They then try to figure out how to catch the perp and finally end up in a vicious struggle with the police.

I enjoyed this series for several reasons. First, the artwork is great. The style is distinct, and they drew my character’s facial expressions quite well. While I won’t say that they look like they should have compared to Seiji Karuza ( Dynasty Warriors), they still got my attention. I also thought the story was entertaining and kept me laughing throughout.

Another thing I enjoyed about it is how each of the episodes is different. For example, one episode is about how Yuichiro sees the police officers arresting him. The next one has him being taken away in a car chase scene. The last one has him getting attacked by a giant tiger shark. It’s nice to watch how they progress each episode – it makes you feel like you’ve gone from one to the other throughout the series.

One thing I didn’t like about it was how much it cribs from other manga and anime series. It’s pretty obvious that someone read somewhere, got inspiration from, and put it into this anime. I’m not against borrowing ideas, but I feel there are better ways to adapt things. One example is how they use the same opening “redits” song from Kill la Kill – which you’ll note is the exact same opening credits song from that show.

However, I do like how they included some of my favorite OVA animation from the show. One in particular that I especially like is the one where Yuichiro is riding his motorcycle and notices a kid speeding down the street. The motorcycle crashes into a truck, and the kid is thrown through the windshield. In the OVA, we see his injuries, and it’s quite graphic (especially when the hospital shows the scar on Yuichiro’s face). It makes you feel for the kid, and I think that it would appeal to more than just kids.

All in all, I give this an average rating. It’s a good story, with some good drawn illustrations. The main characters are well done, and are funny at times. I would recommend it to any fans of Naruto or other anime based stories. I would however recommend checking it out with a parent before watching it.
