A Basic Guide to Rogue PvP Gear
So now you know that in order to successfully PVP a rogue you need a good team. A good Rogue gear guide will tell you what specific pieces you should have if you want to rule the arenas, but what is the casual player to do? Chances are you don’t want to spend hours collecting honor points to find the gear your Rogue gear guide recommends. So if you want to work with what you have or what’s available in the AH, these are the stats to look for:
- Resilience – Found at level 60 and higher, this stat reduces the enemy’s ability to critically hit your character. If you’re buying gear with points and marks of honor, you’ll find that Resilience has already been added; if not, you can add it to another team via gems and enchantments.
- Stamina – This stat helps increase the amount of hit points you have, which means you will stay alive longer in a fight. Assuming you have similar character-playing skills as your opponent, you’ll often find yourself in a battle of who can last the longest in a fight.

- Subtlety’s PvP Rogue talent is for Rogues who want to sneak up on their opponents and attack from behind. Your main PvP tactics will be to quickly stun them and finish them off before they even know what hit them.
- Combat Rogues plays more like mini-Warriors. You’re not concerned with stealth or opening moves, but rather like rushing and killing things. Of the three Combat Rogues, they are the most likely to survive a prolonged fight.

- Use your poisons. Poisons are to rogues like DoTs are to warlocks.
- Use stealth wisely. Spending all your time on Stealth will mean missing out on honor kills, but knowing when to use it correctly will allow you to take on your opponents whenever you want.
- Do it from behind. Even if you are a combat rogue, you are not a warrior. So don’t fight as one! Trying to meet your opponent head on is a great way to get yourself killed. Keep moving and stay behind your opponent whenever possible to allow your character to do maximum damage.
