WearEver Pressure Cooker – Product Description and Review
WearEver has been in business since 1903 and offers a wide variety of cookware and bakeware. They are currently a division of the company called Grupo SEB which is a manufacturer of small household equipment and has well-known brands such as T-fal and Krups. They also own and handle parts and warranty service for Mirro pressure cookers.
The WearEver Pressure Cooker is available in 6-quart or 8-quart sizes and is made from heavy-gauge aluminum or stainless steel materials. With those made from aluminum, they boast that these cookware is able to resist rust and is safe to clean in the dishwasher. If you investigate its safety features, you will find three parts which are the secure lock cap system, the reusable safety release plug, and the side seal pressure release. In addition, the handle has a built-in pressure monitoring device to regulate the pressure in the cookware while it is in use. The stainless steel ones have an encapsulated base in which aluminum is sandwiched between the stainless steel materials for even heat distribution.
WearEver pressure cookers are not as versatile as there are only two sizes available. They are specifically for medium to large families or cooking for a crowd. Upon further investigation, we also found that some of their models have a 10 psi cook pressure, which is a drawback because the standard ones are 15 psi. This means that the food will cook slower compared to the others, defeating its purpose of saving time. As for the design, it is not as attractive as the other brands within the same price range.
