3 Ways to Watch Live TV Shows on My PC

There are 3 ways that I can watch live TV shows on my PC and I am going to share with you how to do it here.

Using the PCTV device

The PCTV stick is a form of hardware that allows me to watch TV shows on my PC through an Internet connection. It comes in a PCI and USB card version. I personally prefer the USB version as it can be used on both a PC and laptop, plus I don’t have to open my computer. Watching TV on PC with PCTV device involves only a one-time investment. You pay for the hardware and that’s it. However, it will still cost you over a hundred bucks at least.

Free online channels

There are online streaming websites that present live TV and I started using them to watch TV shows on my PC at first. However, being free, programs get cut or stopped from time to time due to slow video loading. Also, the channel selection is limited if they ever appear. I’m guessing this is all due to a limited bandwidth that runs out quickly with many people accessing at the same time.

If you are satisfied with mediocre video quality and occasional stops between shows with a very limited channel selection, then free online channels will suffice for you.

satellite tv software

I can also watch TV shows on my PC using satellite TV software. This is my personal favourite. Because? First of all, there is no need for hardware. All I need is the software, my computer, and an internet connection so I don’t have to worry about losing any devices. Second, I can download and use the software immediately online. Third, I only pay a one-time fee of no more than $50 for the software. Fourth, I can choose from more than 3,000 channels around the world. This is by far the best in terms of value for money.
