Cures for excessive sweating

If you currently have problems with excessive sweating, you may have a medical condition known as hyperhidrosis. This basically means that for some reason your body is secreting too much sweat from your sweat glands and it is a serious medical condition that needs to be treated immediately. There are different types of this condition however and each one has different causes. The primary type of hyperhidrosis usually appears in childhood and can be caused by anything from an overactive thyroid to obesity. The other type or secondary type of hyperhidrosis has no known cause but is instead a symptom of a larger problem. No matter what type you have, there are cures for excessive sweating that you should know about.

You should never have to live another day with that embarrassing problem of never being able to wear sleeveless shirts or get into certain social situations where things are awkward. One treatment for excessive sweating that has been shown to work is aluminum chloride, which is an active ingredient in most deodorants. However, since you have a very intense sweating problem, you must use deodorants that contain high doses of aluminum chloride or else they will be quite useless to you. However, if you opt for this method, a side effect of high doses of aluminum chloride can be a skin rash or irritation under the arms.

Talcum powder is another good cure for excessive sweating because when used with a good antiperspirant it can give you great results. Talcum powder reduces the amount of sweat your body produces. People who are in the desert or very hot climates for long periods of time often use talcum powder to reduce the amount of sweat and also its odor, especially if showers are not available to them, so this is one great option that you may want to consider, however you should know that talcum powder doesn’t always smell the best naturally.
