Facial beauty tips: how to apply eye shadow

All women would admit that they are quite conscious about their face. They buy a lot of beauty products just to make sure they look their best every day. If you check your makeup kit, one item you’ll find is an elaborate palette of eyeshadow colors.

How is the eyeshadow applied? It is overwhelming to see different colors and you will surely want to experiment with these until you find a beautiful eyeshadow makeup. But to naturally enhance the look of your eyes, learn the basics of applying eyeshadow.

the 2 rules

  • Apply a darker color to the outer corners of your eyes, making sure the eyeball is naturally darker towards the outside.
  • For a natural gradation, blur the border between neighboring skin and eyeshadow.

the color set

Your eyeshadow set is usually divided into 3 color sets: light, medium and dark. When applying, follow this guide:

  1. Apply a light color all over the lid to brighten the eyes. Use a thick brush or point to do this.
  2. Blend in intermediate colors. Start from the outside corner inwards. Make sure to apply more to the outer corner of your eyes. A light touch will do for the inner corners.
  3. Dark colors should be applied along the upper and lower lash lines.

Practice makes eyeshadow application perfect. Master the basic rules and keep in mind the set of colors.

While makeup is fun, you should also consider your skin. When the day is over, don’t be lazy to clean your face. To protect your skin, practice the basic facial regimen: cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize.

cleaning

This is the core of any skincare routine. Proper cleansing should start with removing your makeup and then washing your face. Ideally, wash your face twice a day, in the morning and before bed. However, if your face is dry, you can skip the morning wash and use water or moisturizer to cleanse.

scrub

This step keeps your skin radiant, smooth and healthy. Daily exfoliation allows your skin to receive the moisturizer that you will apply. Make this a regular once-daily part of your skin care regimen.

Turn

This is necessary if your skin is oily and you feel dirt still remains after cleansing and exfoliating. Refrain from using alcohol-based toners, as this will remove all the oil from your skin, leaving it dry.

Moisturizing

A good moisturizer will seal in moisture and prevent dry skin. If you have oily skin, use lighter products. It is advisable to consult your dermatologist if you have acne.

Aging is natural and inevitable. But there are best practices and facial beauty tips you can follow to keep your skin firmer and more even as you age.
