The main cause of arthritis and how to relieve it

The problems associated with arthritis can be largely avoided if people pay more attention to prevention rather than seeking a cure. There is no relief if the affected joints are inflamed, but the cause of that condition is often a health problem, and diet is a big part of it. Women are often the main victims because they provide meals for their families. These often include the very substances they should avoid.

A healthy joint is one that moves freely without restriction. Bones slide over each other due to articular cartilage that cushions the bony surface. This is lubricated by synovial fluid that is quite thick and is absorbed by the cartilage when the joint is at rest. When it flexes in motion, the fluid is squeezed out to get back to doing its job.

The easiest way to explain this is to think of a hinge that is greased. If it rusts you have to change the oil to free it again. But if it is corroded there is no way to fix it.

Joints are hinges and when they are damaged, either by a break or a simple blow, they leak synovial fluid and are replaced by substances that cross the blood barrier. These include refined foods, such as ground flour, rice, or cornmeal. Sugar also plays apart.

The best way to preserve joints is to protect them when playing sports and to seek immediate treatment for injuries. After that, it’s all about a good diet and constant awareness of what causes arthritis and the foods to avoid to prevent it. As with any medical condition, there are always other causes and effects, so there can be no guarantees.
