The most multicultural cities in the world

Every year the world shrinks, not literally (no need to panic), but for those trying to travel far and wide, getting around is much easier than ever. This is a wonderful thing, and it has led large swaths of humanity to move from one corner of the world to another in search of a better life and better economic prospects. Immigration is a great thing because it enriches the people and the cultures that receive them. This process has led to the creation of several incredible multicultural cities that are truly worth visiting. Trips to London, weeks in Toronto or vacations in New York will introduce you to the wonders of multiculturalism.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and one of the largest in North America. Beyond that, it is the commercial capital of the country and has therefore attracted a large influx of immigrants looking for work and better prospects. The city has every culture you can imagine with particularly strong Portuguese, Indian, Chinese and Vietnamese communities – you can venture from one area to another and see a completely different part of the world on every block.

On the other side of the Atlantic is London, one of the largest cities in the world and a global economic center. In fact, this is an incredibly busy city and there is always something going on here. Like Toronto, London claims the title of the most multicultural city and has a huge population from every country you can imagine. This gives the city an incredibly vibrant feel. Head to a fine Ethiopian restaurant or take in a mesmerizing show to witness this first hand.

Returning to the shores of North America, we find ourselves in New York, a city built on immigration. In fact, in the 19th century the city was the portal for millions of Europeans seeking the American Dream and its promise of free land and prosperity. Many immigrants passed through Ellis Island and didn’t venture much further, and to this day there are huge Irish, Chinese and Polish communities in New York City. During your New York vacation, you would be wise to visit China Town, Little Italy, and the many other small communities located here and there; you will find some really amazing food and have the chance to see how these cultures have nestled together in the great melt. pot that is the United States.

The world is full of incredible cultures, foods and people, and the goal of the traveler is to seek these things. This is what makes going abroad so wonderful, as you get to see how other people live and get out of your own place for a tiny second and see the world through a completely different prism. Unfortunately, we have little time for such trips and you can never visit every country, but by traveling to one of these three great cities you will have the opportunity to have a fleeting encounter with so many cultures and get a taste of what it is like. it seems when all the people of the world come together in one place.
