Safety Guidelines When Using Trampolines

Originally, trampolines are used for acrobatic cartwheels and acrobatics in circuses, then used in gymnastics, and then the use of the trampoline in gymnastics is later included in the Olympic games in Sydney, Australia in the year 200. Now, More and more people have embraced the fun of jumping on trampolines. It is undoubtedly a recreational activity of enjoyment for the family union. This device is also safe for children when used under proper adult supervision. Adults should strictly enforce safety guidelines with prescribed trampoline safety rules and guidelines to their children when using this device.

Here is the list of safety precautions you will need to keep your children safe and prevent some serious injuries:

1. Never try to take a summer jump on the trampoline.

2. Only one person on the trampoline at a time. Most trampoline accidents are caused by two or more people jumping on it at the same time.

3. Never jump without “spotters”.

4. Never place or mount a ladder or step tool on your trampoline to prevent young children from climbing on it without adult supervision.

5. Never use the trampoline when you are under the influence of alcohol or any other drug.

6. Never use the trampoline as a trampoline or something for another surface.

7. Please remove all jewelry and other sharp objects when jumping on the device.

8. Always check the device for worn, disconnected or missing parts before use.

9. When jumping, focus your vision on the edge of the trampoline for balance.

10. Do not allow pregnant women or infirm persons to use your trampoline.

11. Do not jump if you are exhausted or short of breath.

12. Don’t jump too high, this will make you lose your balance. To stop your rebound, bend your knees when your feet make contact with the trampoline floor.

13. Keep away unnecessary objects that may obstruct the bridge.

14. Do not place your trampoline under asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces. Place your trampoline on a level surface.

15. Only allow jumpers that weigh no more than 200 pounds.
